This aerial photo of Bear Lake was taken northeast of the Lake looking towards Muskegon lake, the Muskegon South Pierhead Lighthouse, and Lake Michigan.

Located in North Muskegon, Bear Lake opens into Muskegon Lake, allowing boaters to travel between Bear Lake, Muskegon Lake, and Lake Michigan. Bear Lake does not have a Michigan DNR public access boat launch site, so you would have to use one of the two launches on Muskegon Lake instead.
