Burt Lake is located near Indian River, south of Cheboygan and east of Petoskey in Cheboygan County in Michigan's lower peninsula. This aerial photo was taken southeast of the lake in mid-September.

Burt Lake is located near Indian River, south of Cheboygan and east of Petoskey in Cheboygan County in Michigan's lower peninsula. There are two Michigan DNR public access boat launch sites. One is located at the south end of the lake in the Burt Lake State Park, and one is located on the west side of the lake in Maple Bay.
